For those who want assistance with carrying a heavy load the premium version uses the same great leather and adds foam padding wrapped with buckskin. It increases comfort and style by distributing weight and allowing a little bit of cushion. All the Accessories will slide over our hardware, no need to send your strap in, you can take care of the upgrade yourself. We now offer a Heritage Black Bridle Leather pads to pair with our Heritage Black shoulder bags. All shoulder pads are 9 inches in length.

Great upgrade for Filson leather straps

Very happy with this purchase, not only has it developed a nice patina over the last few weeks of use, it is much more comfortable than just the piece of leather Filson uses on their straps now. The tan/brown leather of this pad matches Filson's bridle leather strap perfectly and the natural buckskin color adds a nice contrast and keeps the pad from slipping off my shoulder like the stick leather one did. One other little annoyance this pad solved is the way Filson weaves it's strap through the stock leather shoulder pad, with Filson, the ends of the pad start to curl under and can double over creating little pain points on your shoulder, this pad fixes that.

Excellent bag - waterbottle holders too small

really like the bag the feel the quality - waterbottle holders on side though aren't nearly big enough and could use a snap or something to increase and decrease size - when i'm carrying the bag i can barely stick my phone in there
