North Bay Daypack

I opted for the heritage black. Let's be honest, most people that have these waxed canvas bags are IPA drinking, carhartt wearing, rugged looking bearded dudes, but yet their hands are softer than a baby's butt. Lol, basically the heritage black doesn't scream "I'm a hipster!" It looks like a "regular" backpack. That's what I like about it.

For the price. You can't complain. Heavy canvas and thick leather. All made in USA. I opted for the 24l. It's quite large. Much larger than my Oakley icon 2.0 24L. I didn't expect it to be so roomy. So be warned. It's a large bag. It's perfect for me. It has enough room for a full size laptop, clothes for overnight and then some. It's also way too heavy and hot to be used as a hiking backpack. This is a city bag, I don't care what Frost river says. Here in central TX, you'd have to be an idiot to take a heavy and hot canvas bag on a 2 hour outdoor trek. It's almost October here, and still nearly 100 degress.

4 stars instead of 5. It's a little rough around the finishing on the inside. I understand this. More attention to detail and better execution would cost more money. Take the Filson Journeyman for example. It costs nearly twice as much, but attention to detail is where it excels. Also, another docked point because this thing is a lint magnet. Stay away from heritage black if you have indoor pets. Thankfully, at this time, I'm petless.

I've enclosed pics of the so/so interior finishing. You can clearly see loose strings, tears and just sloppy cuts. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase!

Bought this for my son who is starting middle school this year. He absolutely loves it and the heavy duty zipper is a plus. Standard backpacks seem to always wear out in a year or two and/or the zippers fail fairly quick. This should last him a lifetime!

Just got a replacement pack for the one purchased for my husband 5 years ago. It was still going but looking a bit beat up after daily use hauling tools and other heavy items all over the city - my husband is very hard on his packs - and he loves this one.

I do love the bag and am wearing it as my daily bag.
I got the 24l in black canvas. It is a bit large for a runaround everyday bag. I now wish that I got the 17l in the tan canvas color. I couldn’t have known this before buying as this has been my first ever canvas bag and they are a bit pricey. I would like to get the 17l bag as well if there is some way I could get a discount on it as it would be my second back from you guys! If that’s not possible I also understand.

Amazing durability, quality, and value. Had for two weeks, used everyday for work. Feels like it will last a lifetime!
