Description

Crossbody Design, a 2in cotton web shoulder strap makes this a comfortable pack to wear even when it's loaded down. The shoulder strap's length is adjustable and even releases with a solid brass g-hook. External Organization Cord and barrel at the front of the bag allows you to cinch a hat or light jacket to the pack body. To keep smaller items organized, utilize the two zippered pockets. The pocket on the flap has a brass swivel hook, perfect for keeping your keys safe. The pocket under the flap has an organizer panel with multiple slip pockets and pocket perfect for holding business cards. Two lash squares at the left of the pack make this Sling Bag customizable with other Frost River add-ons.

Great in-between bag

I got this one as an in between bag for when I don’t need the full capacity of my Pilot Brief and don’t want to carry a regular backpack. I usually alternate between the brief and the Devil’s Kettle depending on what I need for the day but I wanted something smaller (but still larger than the Westender) for days when I just don’t carry all my work stuff.

The Jay Cooke is perfect for this! It fits like a backpack but works like a sling and is just big enough to hold my edc without being bulky. Lunchbox, sunglasses, an extra sweater and some odds and ends and you’re ready to go. You can actually fit a standard laptop in it but it’s a very tight fit so I wouldn’t recommend this as a daily driver if you need to carry your computer around (but it will in a pinch).

I’m very happy with this bag and definitely recommend it!

Rock Solid built by fellow Americans. Rugged like all of their gear. I could stuff good bit of stuff in it even it being such a small pack. Just wish it was a little bigger.i can only sling it over my shoulder, but not cross over due to the adjustable strap not being long enough but that's OK with me.

I took some extra time before submitting this review. The bag is a departure from the regular Frost River designs. It is small but holds more than I expected when it first arrived. It is designed to hold gear very close to the body. This makes it more comfortable than most packs by reducing the torque effect on your back.. If you take your time and distribute the load among the various pockets, you can almost forget the pack is even there. I really didn't expect it to be as comfortable as it is. I use it every day and it easily holds my edc gear. Surprisingly excellent piece of gear. Very glad I bought it. Keep thinking outside the box.
