Some packs are great for light loads, others for hauling big gear. The Summit Boulder Junction Pack is made for both. With input from the seasoned adventurers at Camp Manito-wish in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin, we took the versatile Summit Pack and added features to make it capable of handling just about anything you throw at it.

A zippered compartment at the bottom separates wet or dirty gear from the rest of your load, while twin zipper slides keep essentials—like a rain jacket—ready at a moment’s notice. Inside, a back sleeve holds a laptop, hydration bladder, or any other flat gear you want to keep secure. The buckled front pocket adds organization and quick access for necessities.

Padded backstraps and our brass ring attachment system provide comfort and freedom of movement, while rugged waxed canvas keeps weather and wear at bay. Built in Duluth, Minnesota, this pack is designed to go the distance—whether you’re carrying a light day load or gearing up for a long trek.

    When we set out to refine the Summit Pack, we turned to the experts at Camp Manito-wish in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin. Their insight helped us design a backpack that works just as well with a light day load as it does with a heavy, high-volume haul. The result is the Summit Boulder Junction Pack: a rugged, adaptable pack built to thrive in the woods, on the trail, or in town.

    A zippered bottom compartment keeps muddy boots, wet rain gear, or dirty clothes separate from the rest of your essentials. A gusseted front pocket with a brass buckle makes space for necessities, while an internal sleeve fits a laptop, water bladder, or map folder. Twin zipper slides give you fast access, so the gear you need most is never buried.

    Great pack for day trips

    This is a great durable and functional pack. I use it as a day pack when traveling. The capacity is perfect for me. I can fit my rain gear, extra layers, camera, and water and food in it easily gor the day. The shoulder straps are comfortable. I put a sternum strap on mine but it’s fine without. I’m cool with recommending this pack to anyone.
