I’ve had these for a couple of years. Just had them out with my dogs for a quick fetch in -40 temps. Even without the liners (I forgot at home) my hands were warm. I still recommend the liners. Take it up a level!
I purchased these over a year ago to wear in cold weather for handling the snow thrower and shoveling. I bought them just larger enough to add a medium weight polar fleece glove inside. With the liner, they are perfect for my uses and my hands have stayed very comfortable in our cold Minnesota winters. My other glove and mitten options have always been problematic, especially when holding on to the metal handles on the snow thrower, these mitts are tough enough for rugged use and still look like new. Perfect.
Received a pair for Christmas - XL. Not quite warm enough without a liner - but, I can't easily get my hand through the wrist cuff with a liner or even thin glove on. But the edge cuff is so open/big, I keep getting wind driven snow down it.
I'm sure these are great for something (the workmanship otherwise seems great), but it doesn't seem to be snow blowing, shoveling, snow dogging, etc.
My son buys your travel duffle bags for his road trips. He was very impressed with the look and quality. So Last year he bought me the Choppers. I'm getting older and do not like to be cold while shoveling and snow blowing. These are the best. My neighbor was out shoveling earlier this year and said he had to go inside because his hands were cold. You can bet on what I bought him for Christmas. Now he to loves his new Choppers. I highly recommend the Choppers. You will not be disappointed.
definitely worth the investment. having the guantlets that cover the wrists is a huge benefit. Size large is definitely a loose fit, fits perfect with fingerless liners however could be used as-is. the extra space in the fingers helps trap the air and keep hands warm. would recommend.
