Adventures for You and Your Companion
Here at Frost River and in Duluth, MN, we love our dogs. Whether they love to hit the trails with you or prefer lounging in the sun on the patio, whichever way you and your dog prefer to spend your time, Duluth has got you covered. From dog parks and stores to trails, shops, and breweries there are so many places to which you and your four-legged friend can venture together!
Getting outside with your dog couldn’t be easier here in Duluth. We have 4 dog parks, miles of trails with various difficulties, the Lake Walk, and the beach on Park Point just to name a few! A few things to keep in mind, dogs should be on leash unless otherwise specified, and as most folks know, make sure to pick up after your dog too. Lastly, make sure to adhere to any posted signage about bringing your dog along.
One of our favorite parts of the day here is when you bring your dog with you to shop! We love getting to meet your furry friend and give them a treat (or 2). Don’t forget to pick up a new leash or collar while you are at it. Here in the Lincoln Park Craft District, there are so many shops that welcome you and your dog. When you are out and about, look for a blue and white sticker of a dog in the window, that means the business is dog friendly! These stickers are courtesy of DogApproved.biz, the one-stop resource for all things dog friendly in Duluth and Superior. Check out their site for the most in-depth and up-to-date information!
Many restaurants and breweries throughout town are happy to allow dogs on their patios such as our neighbors Bent Paddle Brewing and Love Creamery and down the street at Duluth Cider, Wild State Cider, and Ursa Minor Brewing. These are just a couple of the many places throughout town that are happy to host you and your dog. Many even have offerings for them such as Love Creamery having pup cups!
This is just a brief overview of all that Duluth has to offer for you and your four-legged companion. Whether you are a local or visiting from out of town, you don't have to worry about bringing your dog with, there is more than enough to do where they are welcome, and don't forget to stop by the shop to deck out them out in some Frost River gear!
