Description

The Jay Cooke Pack is a versatile sling designed for comfort and function. Its 2-inch cotton web shoulder strap rides easily across your chest or back, even when the bag’s loaded down. Adjust the strap to fit, or release it quickly with the solid brass g-hook.

External organization comes in the form of a cord and barrel system up front, perfect for strapping down a light jacket or cap. Two zippered pockets provide secure storage: the flap pocket has a brass swivel hook to keep keys safe, while the pocket beneath the flap offers an organizer panel with multiple slip pockets for cards, notebooks, or small gear.

Finished with lash squares for attaching Frost River add-ons, the Jay Cooke is adaptable, durable, and ready for wherever the day takes you.

    Perfect for my iPad Pro

I have been hunting for a sling bag that my large iPad Pro with keyboard would fit in nicely and this bag has been perfect!

Fits my stuff and does not look like all the multi pocketed bags made out of some space age material. Thoughtful retro design with some quirks.

Half backpack/half sling concept is really neat.

Most all round bag that I have bought from you guys. I seem to use it a lot for every day activities. The half sling half backpack concept is really neat.

    Jay Cooke Sling Pack

I really enjoy the look & construction of the pack. It feels solid. It looks rugged. The waxed canvas feels amaizing. My issue is the sling is permanently fixed for a right handed person. If you're a lefty like me, it's wildly uncomfortable.

Capable sling bag with multiple use cases

    Pros
    * Beautiful look with brass hardware, leather accents, and color-coordinated paracord - a coworker here in the Cities recognized it immediately as a Frost River pack -- it's unmistakably *that pack*
    * Size ideal for a Jay Cooke's hike worth of activities (it's a "half-day" pack, and I can just fit a Dell 14" laptop in it)
    * Multiple storage pockets and attachment points - I can fit a 32 oz HydroFlask in the paracord pocket (see pic)

    Opportunities
    * I'm bigger around the chest (44") and would value an adjustable strap for when the pack starts to fill up, or to fit the pack over layers. I would pay more for this.
    * I'd love a true hand grab loop for when I'm just toting it around not on my shoulder (it has a small loop that's useless for this purpose)
    * This pack would look awesome in black and probably also vibe even more with the EDC crowd
