This is one beautiful bag with plenty of space not only am I able to fit my laptop, but also my iPad, ergonomic keyboard and everything else needed (and still space to spare) when I hit the office. Look damn good doing it too!
I have been using the bag and really like it. The one thing that keeps it from being completely perfect is that the shoulder strap is not padded. Besides that, no complaints, great bag that is really well made.
I’d been searching for a replacement for my old canvas briefcase/bucket bag for years! When I took a sweet trip through the beautiful Frost River catalog, and came across the Navigator, I thought I might have finally found my next work/travel companion. The Navigator is built like the “iron cloth” label they use to describe heavy waxed canvas. My 15” laptop fits in the sleeve inside, with plenty of room left for my large Accessory Bag of cables and a ream of documents in the main compartment! There should be no need to ever replace this bag! BIFL! (Buy It For Life!)
I purchased Navigator to be a bag for my notebook computer & related items. It works beautifully for that, chargers pens, pencils and any papers I may need. Since there is no padded compartment I do put my computer in a padded sleeve to provide extra protection.
I bought my Navigator bag in the fall of 2016 - primarily as a combination overnight bag and briefcase. I travel a lot for work (2-3 nights at a time 3-4 times a month) and use this as my only luggage for these trips. I can fit my laptop, a few changes of clothes and entertainment for the plane in without straining the zippers. After eight years of hard use the bag looks as good (or better) than when I got it. The waxed canvass still keeps the water out and the layout and size are still perfect for my needs.
