The quality of materials and construction of the Paddle Sack is first class and should last as long as I own the paddle. But the sack comes up short in a couple areas: 1) The sack easily fits the 58" canoe paddle I have but it would be really tough to fit a 60" paddle; 2) The flap is plenty long enough but because the liner doesn't cover the underside of the flap (where it folds over the blade) it doesn't protect a fine-edged paddle as well as it should.
The tapered cut of the Paddle Sack works great with the modified otter tail paddle I have because the sack doesn't flare out near the opening like most paddle bags and yet is wide enough in the middle section to accommodate the 29" length of the otter tail blade. On the other hand, a typical canoe paddle with blades wider than 8" could be a tight fit.
