Description

When on the road and between canoe trips, protect your paddle in a Frost River Paddle Sack. That way you will remember where each rock left its mark on the blade and be sure that the dent in the shaft didn't come from something like a folding chair stored in the basement. Waxed canvas construction with flannel lining.

Good paddle bag that's almost great.

The quality of materials and construction of the Paddle Sack is first class and should last as long as I own the paddle. But the sack comes up short in a couple areas: 1) The sack easily fits the 58" canoe paddle I have but it would be really tough to fit a 60" paddle; 2) The flap is plenty long enough but because the liner doesn't cover the underside of the flap (where it folds over the blade) it doesn't protect a fine-edged paddle as well as it should.

The tapered cut of the Paddle Sack works great with the modified otter tail paddle I have because the sack doesn't flare out near the opening like most paddle bags and yet is wide enough in the middle section to accommodate the 29" length of the otter tail blade. On the other hand, a typical canoe paddle with blades wider than 8" could be a tight fit.

Very tight all around but very well made.

love the paddle sack

love the paddle sack. my wife and i have now purchased 4 bags this spring. every of them is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. i will say one thing about the paddle sack that might make future ones better, how about putting a couple of D rings on it so that you can carry it "bandolier style"?

The paddle sack

Absolutely a must for your paddles. The inner lining is soft and very thick. I'm using a double large for my kayak paddle and it fits perfectly
