I absolutely love this briefcase. It is amazingly high-quality, so sturdy, looks great, and fits everything I need. I will definitely be buying more from Frost River. I wouldn’t change a thing.
I travel to some rugged spots, and these bags keep up. This brief is beautiful and functional. I carry 1x 16in laptop, usually a hard binder brief (about the girth of an SAT prep book), and whatever tech I need to support (small camera, chargers, maybe a tablet). It has a nice zipped out document folder to keep your gear separate. This bag, a Laurentian and a Isle Royale will usually keep me stocked for about a month in between urban and wilderness settings. The correspondent brief is large, but not monstrous. Just right for me.
I have had your duffle bag for years, and simply love it. The Briefcase looks to be the same excellent quality I have come to expect, great job.
I gave my husband the correspondent brief bag for Christmas. He desperately needed a new briefcase. As an outdoorsman and fly fisherman, I wanted to get him a bag that reflected his passions but also was a top quality bag with serious craftsmanship. This bag was above and beyond anything my husband expected and he was over the moon about it. The Correspondent Brief is a fantastic briefcase! The quality and craftsmanship is superior. The waxed canvas is HEAVY yet pliable to touch, the leather is soft and smooth yet thick and rugged. The brass hardware solid and bright. The zippers are huge and silky, they whizz open and shut satisfyingly.
The design is perfect for me. I was surprised to see that it stands up unsupported even empty. The interior organization is something I was unsure of and I called to inquire about. It turns out it is exactly what I was hoping for. The organization panel has 3 fairly deep pockets and 2 slash pen holders, along with a full length zippered panel. The two exterior pockets are fairly wide and deep and hold a bounty stuff.
I am excited for this bag and proud to own it. The work that went into shines through its quality. Frost River is a Great Company with exemplary customer service also. Thank you to the young lady that actually answered the phone and my questions!
