Production Technician - Industrial Sewing Operator

Industrial Sewing Operators operate and tend sewing machines to join, reinforce, and overall construct a robust collection of designs. They monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions. Operators cut material according to specifications, using blades, scissors, or other electrical equipment.


Sewing operators will work both individually and in teams to manufacture goods.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Operate single needle and serger machines for 5-10 hours

· Improve your processes and yourself each day

· Trace patterns and cut material to replicate specific patterns for each item

· Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

· Be on-time and dependable for the team

· Able to access and navigate the production and retail facility

· Other duties as assigned

· Able to sit, stand, bend, stretch, twist and reach
· Able to read and understand information verbally and in written form
· Able to lift materials/equipment up to 50 pounds

Schedule: Monday-Friday, days, occasionally Saturday

Shipping and Quality Technician - Full-Time

Frost River Trading Co. is a staple of the Lincoln Park Craft District and offers customers the ability to shop all of Frost River's goods in one store, as well as, get a first-hand view into the Frost River Workshop. 


This position is responsible for properly shipping and receiving goods while ensuring accurate documentation. This position requires high energy and excellent time management. When shipping priorities are alleviated, this position will work as a quality assurance specialist, ensuring all manufactured goods are inspected and pass quality expectations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure shipments are complete before leaving the facility

• Ability to learn the POS system, “Shipstation” program, and Google Drive

• Assist with inventory of finished goods

• Monitor products for overall quality, quantity and accuracy

• Allocate goods to various locations based on priority and production schedule

• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Improve your processes and yourself each day

• Other duties as assigned
