This is my 3rd Utensil Roll, which I use to store & protect the larger knives in my growing puukko collection. There is no better "container" for relatively slim, elongated utensils up to 12 inches. Slots range in width from 1 1/2- to 2 1/2-inches to accomodate items of varying thicknesses. When rolled up full of 7 sheathed knives, the Utensil Roll is quite thick, so I added a long leather boot lace thru one of the brass grommets; together with the supplied cotton strand in the other grommet, they keep the bulky, heavy roll securely together when tied. (Rustico makes a similar, smaller roll I use for my shorter puukkos & puukko mushroom knife sub-collection.) Some may prefer FR's Tool Roll that features a flap-snap-over compartment to secure quite small tools like hex wrenches or nuts, bolts, washers.
