Ullr Coolers was born of a love for hiking and camping along the beautiful trails of the North Shore of Lake Superior. Year after year, the same crucial question would come up: how can we keep our beers cold when heading off the grid? Carrying a traditional hard-sided cooler was out of the question, so we began designing and testing materials for a functional soft-sided product to meet our needs. We had an excellent time testing prototypes on trail hikes throughout Minnesota, and in 2015, we released the first Ullr Cooler. In 2021 we became a part of Superior TECH manufacturing and a sister brand to Frost River located in the Lincoln Park Craft District of Duluth, giving us access to a much larger manufacturing facility and a seasoned team of talented sewing craftspeople.
